How your logo was created?

Your logo has been developed in a vector graphics program, which means that it is scalable to very large sizes without a loss in resolution. The vector files come in AI(Adobe Illustrator) and EPS(Encapsulated Post Script) formats which can be used for color adjustment, resizing, modification and printing by most commercial printers.

File types included on your CD

EPS

Encapsulated PostScript; a graphics format that describes an image in the PostScript language. Can be used as a starting point by commercial printers, embroiders, sign makers, etc... to develop your logo for various applications. EPS files can be adjusted using a vector program such as Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Xara X or Freehand. This is a source file, which makes it fully editable. Your logo CD contains one EPS file which includes your logo in Pantone colors as well as black a only format. Your logo is separated within the EPS file by color, not by shape or or individual elements.

AI

Adobe Illustrator program file format. Can be adjusted using a vector program such as Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Xara X or Freehand. This is a source file, which makes it fully editable. Can be used as a starting point by commercial printers, embroiders, sign makers, etc... to develop your logo for various applications. Your logo CD contains one AI file which includes your logo in Pantone colors as well as a black only format. Your logo is separated within the AI file by color, not by shape or or individual elements.

PDF (sample PDF logo file)

Portable Document Format; a type of formatting that enables files to be viewed on a variety computers regardless of the program originally used to create them. PDF files retain the "look and feel" of the original document with special formatting, graphics, and color intact. PDF files are viewable/ editable in Adobe Acrobat, Acrobat Reader, etc. Can be used as a starting point by commercial printers, embroiders, sign makers, etc... to develop your logo for various applications. Your logo CD contains one PDF file which includes your logo in Pantone colors as well as black only/ grayscale format.

TIF (sample TIF logo file color ; saple TIF logo file black and white)

Tag Image File Format; a popular file format for storing bit-mapped graphic images on desktop computers. The graphic can be any resolution and can be black and white, gray-scale, or color. Files of this type usually have the suffix ".tif" as part of their name. The TIF files on your logo disk are set to 300 DPI(HIGH) resolution. As long as you are shrinking them down in dimension size they should retain a high quality, blowing them up may degrade the quality. TIF files are flat raster files, they cannot be edited beyond being painted over in programs such as Photoshop. Your TIF files are suitable for printing from your home computer, newspaper print use, telephone directory use, and any other application that requires high resolution without editing abilities. Your logo cd includes two 300 DPI TIF files, one in color and one in black and white/ grayscale. Color files are denoted by the word "color" in their file name while black only files have the word "black" in their file name.

JPG (sample jpg logo files)

Joint Photographic Experts Group; a graphics format which compresses an image to save space. Your logo JPG files come in two resolution types, 300DPI (HIGH) and 96DPI (LOW.) The high resolution JPG files are suitable for printing your logo in situations where it will be standing on its own as an image, no background etc... For instance they could be used to print stationery from your home computer using Microsoft Word, Publisher, etc... Your low resolution JPG logo files are suitable for internet use. Your logo CD includes your logo in full color in three separate sizes in the low resolution JPG format; small, medium and large. There is also a similar black only/ grayscale set included. Color files are denoted by the word "color" in their file name while black only/ grayscale files have the word "black" in their file name.

GIF (sample gif logo files)

Graphics Interchange Format; a format for a file that contains a graphic or a picture. Files of this type usually have the suffix ".gif" as part of their name. GIF files are suitable for website use, and low resolution printing use such as faxes. Your logo CD includes your logo in full color in three separate sizes in the GIF format, small, medium and large. There is also a similar black only/ grayscale set included. Color files are denoted by the word "color" in their file name while black only/ grayscale files have the word "black" in their file name.

BMP (sample bmp logo files)

Bitmap file; a common image format on Windows computers. Files of this type usually have the suffix ".bmp" as part of their name. BMP files are suitable for low resolution printing from your home computer. Your logo CD includes your logo in full color in three separate sizes in the BMP format; small, medium and large. There is also a similar black only set included. Color files are denoted by the word "color" in their file name while black only/ grayscale files have the word "black" in their file name.

PSD

Photoshop program file. We include a copy of your logo in PSD format so you can adjust the background layer on your logo if you have this program, there are also other graphics programs that support layers that can use this file. When you open the file in Photoshop or a similar program the background, white are, will appear clear. You can then adjust the background color to match the application you are working on, resize the entire image to fit where you need it to, then export it to the proper format for the application. If by chance your PSD file does not have a background layer all you have to do is add a layer in photoshop and move it to the back. Then change the color of this layer to the color you need, the dead space around your logo will show through to the background color.
