I am still getting old pages and I am certain that the site has been updated, how do I clear my BROWSER CACHE?
AOL's built-in browser temporarily stores images and text from the Web pages on your hard drive in a storage area called a cache.There are 2 big problems for AOL's cache storage;
1. When the cache fills up, performance can slow down, and your hard drive may run out of space.
2. You still see the old pages even though the site has been updated. All other users who has Comcast, COX, Verizon etc. for internet connection can see the changes right away. AOL has always been a problem to see web pages in real-time.
Even though AOL's Proxy cache is updated every 24 hours, a member can clear their Browser Cache and force the reload of a page to see the changes in real-time. This is done by either reducing the browser History to "0" and manually clearing all pages in history by deleting the files in the temporary internet files folder located in the Windows Directory or PC users can force a refresh by holding down the CONTROL key on their keyboard and mouse clicking on the AOL browser reload icon. The latter will completely clear all items in history.
