When you change hosting server or change nameservers on your domain, the DNS information takes time to propagate across all the DNS servers spread around the internet. For most servers this process takes about 4 hours, but some ISPs cache the information for longer periods, as much as 24-48 hours. This will cause some people to be directed to the old server, some to the new.
