Merchant Administration Summary

All these administration facilities are available while the shop is running. You can add and alter products and they will be immediately seen by your customers.

Shop administration is for the merchant or web developer and not for the customer. The administration facilities include:

  • Configure the Shopping Cart
  • Add, delete and modify products
  • Add, delete and modify any table
  • Define other administrators
  • Define menus and tasks for each administrator
  • Restrict administrators to viewing or updating specific tables
  • Display sales reports
  • Display stock low reports
  • Display affiliate reports
  • Mail to customers
  • Export data from any table
  • Perform searches of the database
  • Import data to any table
  • Send order tracking messages
  • Bulk update stock and prices

Multiple Administrators

An administrator with the correct userid and password can view and display all information about the order which can then be printed, marked as processed and optionally be deleted. Multiple userids are supported. Each can have different administrative facilities.

If the administrator uses a secure SSL link to the shopping administration , the viewing is also encrypted for additional security.

ASP Online Shopping System allows you to add additional userids with less or more privileges. One user may be allowed to alter product details and another to only view orders.

General Menu Facility

The menu facility supplied with ASP Online Shopping System is very general and can handle any type of ASP or html page, even those not associated with ASP Online Shopping System.

This allows you to add your site specific administration tasks to the administrator's menus.
